HOW DO I GET THERE?
By bike. What is more beautiful at a cycling competition than to see on the bank of the route enthusiasts who came to the event by bike?! The climb to Cheile Grădiștei is very beautiful, it is done entirely on asphalt, so you can use both, MTB or road bike.
By bus. There are regular bus services between Brașov and Moeciu, according to a schedule you can find here: https://www.autogari.ro/Transport/Brasov-MoeciudeJos.
The journey takes about 45 minutes, but keep in mind that from Moeciu to Fundata there are still 7-8 km, which you can do on foot or by taxi (contacts at 0756258597).
On Sunday, a MTB racing enthusiast, Alecu Bogdan, organizes a free transport with a 45-seater bus from Brașov Train Station, in collaboration with TRUBLI TRANSBUS SERVICE. The bus leaves at 9:00 a.m. and returns after 6:00 p.m., and Alecu reserves the right to select the seat occupants. One of the criteria will be props prepared to encourage the riders.
By car. If you choose to go up to Cheile Grădiștei by car, you must know that you will pay the classic entrance fee to the complex, 20 lei for the whole day, so we recommend that you bring four more friends - it will be more profitable for you and for the economy of the parking lots in the complex. There are 1150 parking spaces at Fundata, and if they are occupied, a 300-space parking lot will be activated between Cheile Grădiștei Moeciu and Cheile Grădiștei Fundata and a minibus will transfer passengers.
WHERE DO I EAT?
At Cheile Grădiștei you have three restaurants at your disposal - one in Moeciu and two in Fundata. The a la carte restaurant in Fundata will most likely only be available on the terrace (150 seats), but the second restaurant, which will be self-service, has 400 seats, including the terrace. The hosts from Cheile Grădiștei will organize a food court area with minutes near the start-finish area, and Auchan will activate several stations where you can buy nibbles.
WHERE DO I STAY?
Unfortunately, there are no more places to stay at Cheile Grădiștei, but there are many guesthouses and hotels in the area that can accommodate you. Those who want to combine cycling with other tourism attractions can choose Bran, Râșnov or even Brașov.
